A Sense Of Belonging
Student
Profile
Pillars students are graduates of Grade 12, up to age 23 who
want to be stretched, to impact their communities, to make
a difference in their world, and who are hungry to grow deeper
in their personal relationship with God. Students from all
denominations are invited to attend the Pillars program. Each
student will be treated with dignity and respect, extended
the grace, mercy and love of Christ. Students will be mentored,
guided and stretched in a manner that best suit their individual
needs.
Close-knit
Community
Pillars accepts up to 25 students. We choose to maintain a
small student base, as this better facilitates the development
of authentic relationships that will last a lifetime. The
small class size fosters an environment of mutual support
and encouragement. Experiential activities, missions trips
and group service projects deepen the bond of trust and accountability
among the students. Students are encouraged through these
life-long friendships with staff and peers to achieve all
the dreams God has placed in their hearts.
Campus
Residences
Aldersgate Lodge provides students a home away from home.
Comfortable dorm rooms accommodate two students each, providing
fellowship and accountability. Each student is provided a
single bed, desk, closet space, internet access and a shared
telephone land line. The Lodge’s community room provides
an area for student residents to come together for fellowship,
watch movies, play board games, have study groups and just
relax. The communal kitchen provides students a place to store
and prepare snacks, and meals. Aldersgate Lodge also provides
laundry facilities. |
